Jason Taing
Jason Taing is a London-based conductor, pianist and music educator. Previously reading Music at the University of Manchester and studying conducting with Mark Heron and Robert Guy, he formed The Camerata Players and Voices, an dynamic ensemble formed of students and graduates of the University of Manchester and the Royal Northern College of Music. A recipient of the George Hurst Memorial Scholarship, he has participated in masterclasses with Denise Ham, Colin Metters, Toby Purser and Jac van Steen. Recent highlights include working with the Hallé Choir, Sinfonia One at Aberystwyth MusicFest and directing ensembles at European Youth Music Week as Assistant Conductor. Jason has been Musical Director at Brixton Unitarian Church since 2020, and enjoys an active freelance conducting and teaching career.
