HONORARY MINISTER
Julian is originally from Sheffield, West Riding of Yorkshire and is a Barrister as well as our Minister. He read law at the London School of Economics (LSE) and Inns of Court, and biblical studies and theology at Oxford. His spirituality is broad and nourished by world religions (including Christianity), philosophies of life, European romanticism, American transcendentalism, mindfulness, positive psychology, and the direct delivery of legal and social justice. At the Bar, Julian is a member of the Bar Human Rights Committee, Avocats Sans Frontières, and the consultant principal of Brixton’s oldest advice centre, our Brixton Legal Centre, which he founded. He is also a committed member of the Free Speech Union (FSU). He lives on the South Bank with his partner, ginger tomcat, and lots of books.

Mary is originally from Jamaica. She is employed in domestic services at Lewisham Hospital, and enjoys a wide circle of friends, entertaining, fashion, Brixton market, and doing her bit to brighten the days of others. She lives in Camberwell.

Jason is originally from Blackheath; read music at Manchester and a PGCE in music at Manchester Metropolitan and the Royal Northern College of Music; is a conductor, music teacher, and pianist; and lives in Greenwich.
Andrew is originally from Great Wakering, Essex; read marketing and advertising at LCP; is an early retired director of Fitch & Ferrule painters and decorators; and lives with his partner in Waterloo.
Sue is originally from Camden; studied bookkeeping and accounts at Lambeth College; is semi-retired; has three children, several grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; and lives in Bexhill-on-Sea.

Stephen is originally from New Zealand; studied administration; is an administrator with a leading travel company; and lives in Lewisham.
Edwin is originally from Ghana; was raised in Northern Ireland and Sussex; read English at Oxford; is partnered to Lena; and lives between Brixton and Sussex.
Bruce is originally from the Midlands; read politics at Manchester; was a solicitor, before becoming a money adviser with the late Brixton Law Centre; has two children and three grandchildren; is married to Joan; and lives in Tooting.
Ricky is originally from Blackheath; obtained a first in music at King’s College London; is now reading for a PGCE at the Institute of Education, University College London; and lives in Greenwich.
