Julian Smith

HONORARY MINISTER

Julian is originally from Sheffield, West Riding of Yorkshire. He read law at the LSE and Inns of Court, and biblical studies and theology at Oxford. He has a special interest in world religions, mysticism, positive psychology, mindfulness and social justice. At the Bar he is in traditional independent practice, the principal of our Brixton Legal Centre (which he founded), and a member of both the Bar Human Rights Committee and Avocats Sans Frontières. He lives on the South Bank with his partner and ginger moggie Rusty.

Jason is originally from London, studied Music at Manchester followed by a PGCE in Music at Manchester Metropolitan and the Royal Northern College of Music, is a pianist, conductor and music teacher, and lives in London.

Andrew is originally from Great Wakering, Essex, read marketing and advertising at LCP and is an early retired director of Fitch & Ferrule painters and decorators, and lives with his partner in Waterloo.

Sue is originally from Camden, studied bookkeeping and accounts, works in hospitality, has three children and several grandchildren, and lives in Bexhill-on-Sea.

Stephen is originally from New Zealand, studied administration, is an administrator with a leading travel company, and lives in Lewisham.

Richard is originally from Buckinghamshire, studied microbiology to PhD at Nottingham and holds an MBA (Open), works in the IT industry, is married to Heidi, has three children, and lives in Streatham.

Edwin is originally from Ghana, was raised in Northern Ireland and Sussex, read English at Oxford, is partnered to Lena, and lives between Brixton and Sussex.

Bruce is originally from the Midlands, read politics at Manchester, was a solicitor before becoming a money adviser with the late Brixton Law Centre, has two children and two grandchildren, is married to Joan, and lives in Tooting.

Ricky is originally from London, is a choral scholar from King’s studying flute at the Royal Academy of Music, and a freelance music educator living in Kent.
