LEADERSHIP

Mary
. . .
President
Our faith and community is embodied above all in our president, a longstanding member, regular attender and trustee who is the minister’s and board of trustees’ consultation point with the congregation in-between formal meetings and impromptu discussions. Mary is originally from Jamaica and lives in Camberwell. She is employed in domestic services at Lewisham Hospital and enjoys doing her bit to brighten the days of others, a wide circle of friends, social engagements, fashion, and Brixton market.

Julian
FRSA
REV
Julian is from Sheffield in the West Riding of Yorkshire and lives on the Southbank with his better half, ginger tomcat and lots of books. He has served us very well since we appointed him to our ministry on a part-time lay leadership basis as a young man preparing to go up to the LSE to read law. He is a barrister (Lincoln’s Inn) in chambers, and mid-career at the Bar studied theology and ministry at Oxford and Edinburgh part-time. He is a well-known and popular Brixton minister and celebrant of namings, weddings and funerals on and off-site, is the founder and consultant principal of our Brixton Legal Centre, and leads on our being a major donor to the Brixton & Norwood Foodbank as part of our spiritual and social justice practice.
