The Brixton Unitarian Church are newly launching an exciting and diverse Sunday Concert Series, which looks forward to featuring a mix of classical and contemporary performances from emerging artists in the wonderful acoustic of the Effra Road Chapel, just a 10 min walk from Brixton Underground station.
Join us for large-scale choral works, intimate solo performances to chamber ensemble concerts celebrating the best of local talent. We look forward to welcoming the following acts on the below dates:
Sunday 25th September – The Scintille Quartet: In the first of the Sunday Concert Series, we welcome the Scintille Quartet, performing Beethoven and Schubert. Book here
Sunday 23rd October – Brixton Wind Ensemble: The Brixton Wind Ensemble holds their debut concert performing works by Mozart by Mozart, Raff, Taneyev, Jacob and Ruth Gipps, directed by Jason Taing. Book here
Sunday 20th November – Bryony Lloyd (singer/songwriter): Folk singer-songwriter Bryony Lloyd makes her debut at Brixton, with her healing and lyrical original songs. Book here
Sunday 4th December – Handel’s Messiah Part 1: Formed of university and conservatoire choral scholars and graduates, the choir and ensemble take on Part 1 of this glorious masterpiece. Book here
